The question “What is Las Vegas?” is a question asked by many, but few can answer it with any authority other than those who have seen it for themselves. That’s because there really is so much more to Las Vegas than simply gambling, rock and roll and showgirls. This city is a melting pot of cultures, ethnicities and beliefs, and if you stop and look around, you will see what some call a multitude of Americas.

Las Vegas is one of the twenty largest metropolises in the United States and is one of its most populous cities. The awe inspiring overlying alleys is, in fact, one of the finest in the nation. These are some of the oldest and most historical backgrounds, both public and privately, of las Vegas’ various neighborhoods and churches. And these areas of Las Vegas are truly representative of America. The architecture is typically something along the lines of Victorian or Queen Anne, with cobblestone streets and the occasional carnival. The nightlife is some of the finest in the world, with everything from strip joints to casinos.

The main part of what is known as las Vegas consists of seven municipalities, or places of business in the popular jargon of “mopolitan.” These are the following places in the United States: Downtown Las Vegas (Downtown Las Vegas Strip), South Lake Vegas (Northeastern Las Vegas), North Vegas (Northwestern Las Vegas), Vine Valley (Vine Valley) and downtown Boulder (Boulder City). Many have referred to these locations as the entertainment capital of the world. This is perhaps why the city has been the subject of many songs, books and films.

Las Vegas is certainly not where you would want to settle if you came to the United States from England, or even Europe for that matter. It is a very different culture, and even those who speak English in America often find themselves speaking Spanish or Hindi when they are visiting here. But in spite of this, the city does enjoy a high number of visitors, largely due to its highly rated hotels. These include the Bellagio, Venetian, Monte Carlo, Paris Las Vegas, and the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.

But is it where you want to spend your Vegas vacation? It’s hard to say. Las Vegas is a destination like no other, and this means there is a lot to do. Some people come to Las Vegas to gamble, while others head out to dinner and dancing. There’s even a strip club in Las Vegas, the Limelight, which serves alcohol and provides dancing entertainment. So, what is your idea of where is las Vegas?

You can begin by going online to look up which hotels and casinos are in close proximity to your hotel. A good website will list not only the casino locations but also the hotels. After you have done this, you can do some shopping. You may even find that you want to buy a house in las Vegas (NV) after you have visited the show rooms and seen all that is has to offer!

Once you are ready to start planning where is las Vegas (NV) travel, you can begin to look into hotels that are near the Strip. Your first stop may be the Bellagio, which is right next to the Bellagio Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. The Venetian is also a good place to visit. Or you may want to take a trip to one of the more outlying areas of las Vegas (NV), such as Catalina Island, Sahara Desert, or Boulder City. These outlying areas are less populated and there are many more hotels in these areas.

Another good thing about taking a road trip through las Vegas (NV) is that you can make stops along the way to enjoy the main cities of las Vegas. These include the Caesar’s Palace, the Hoover Dam, or the old City of Las Vegas. Depending on how far you want to travel, you may want to check into the airport, or the bus terminal of each city. These can give you a great understanding of how long the drive should take and will help you decide how long the drive itself should be.
